Eating Roaches

There is no such thing as involuntary poverty in New Zealand, and I wish we would stop pretending it exists. We pay billions of dollars in taxes to ensure it doesn't happen.
If children are eating roaches, that is a parenting issue, not a poverty issue. A decent loaf of bread costs $2. Budget Baked Beans are similarly cheap. If you are on a benefit and on the DPB, it is impossible for you to be poor, especially if you have a state house with subsidised rent. Again, if all your money is going on fags, booze, P and Sky TV, then you are not poor. You are a bad parent who should have your children removed from your care.
If anyone is "poor" in New Zealand, it is people who work their arse off for $13 an hour and get taxed at 18c in the dollar for the privilege. Then get taxed even more if they try and get a second job to get ahead. All so some simian can spend all their DPB money on drugs.
Let's solve the poverty of morality that punishes people for working and rewards them for sitting on their arse.

"then you are not poor"
Similar for those who turn up at food banks crying 'woe is me' to the in tow media. After arriving in their Jap crap late model SUVs. If you can afford to own/run/gas up a car or Remuera tractor, poverty is not an issue.
Exactly, when you are poor, food is usually the easiest thing to afford - the real issue is whether you can register your car and fill the tank, or buy a replacement pair of shoes. Food is nickel and dime stuff.
The also drag out the "old people eating cat food" statement. Nonsense, as you mentioned, the price of budget baked beans is cheap, in fact premium baked beans cost far less than pet food weight for weight.

I always get so excited when I visit the blog again to find SIX comments on one of my posts!
Then when I find three of them are from Mr Snuggles, and one of them isn't even on topic, I just get pissed off.
:-(
Please keep it concise in future, or start your own blog.

Mr snuggles, you threaten me and I will follow up with the police. Last time you contacted my old boss and he filed a police complaint for me. Facebook banned you too.
I held back on following through on the last complaint to see if you were reasonable enough to talk it through. If I see any lie or slander appear on any website I will be showing it to the police. I already have a crime number, and know where you live.

You were banned from the Facebook page that we discussed immigration on. And you and I have talked about this for well over 18 months now. We both said silly things and I retracted everything I said, as I told you it was a bad day at the office and I also remember you being big enough to accept that apology and we moved on. It's over. If it makes you happy, I don't work in this profession any more - I volunteer more instead.
Now, as you know, we actually have a lot in common and I'm more than happy to continue this. And look, we are going to have a bloody good summer too! Time for everybody to sit back, take a breather and enjoy the great british summer!!
And no, I dont post racist comments online, and it isn't a crime to make light of other peoples work habits. I think every country has those who don't try hard - it isn't racial, it's just human nature that some people(kiwis/Brits) work harder than other kiwis/Brits!
